My brother David owns and runs Computer Doctors in Corpus Christi, Texas. He specializes in fixing non-Linux computers:
- Virus removal.
- Data recovery and backups.
- Hardware installations and setups.
- Computer upgrades.
- Data transformations: floppy, zip, phonograph records, reel-to-reel.
David has lived an interesting life. He lost an eye as a teen-ager from a metal chard when he was trying to unhook a One-Way from a tractor I had gotten stuck. He lived through an impact with a cow and an associated near miss with a semi-truck. He has been shot by Indians who also tried to scalp him. He has been attacked by a shark – the teeth marks are still visible on his side. He survived a 5 bypass heart surgery. Recently he had to undergo roto-rooting with emplacement of 7 stints and balloons in his heart. He beat the snot out of a couple guys that tried to strong-arm him at his business. He has been sued (unsuccessfully) several times.
To honor him for his involvement in the Hacienda Wars, I have included links to the A.K. Dunghill award plaques he received during the American Indian (AIM) hostilities in Gordon, Nebraska:
- David Gardner’s Hacienda War Bronze Star.
- David Gardner’s Hacienda War Silver Star.
David saved a man and his son from drowning one day at a lake in Nebraska.
David survived a deadly tornado that hit Gordon, Nebraska. He is credited with saving the lives of a number of people as he rescued them from the wreckage of their homes.
Many people are surprised to know that David is a skilled musician. Some of his songs are linked below:
