Cale Moon

Cale Moon was born in Elko, Nevada “at a very early age”.  His hero is his Dad, who is a long haul truck driver. Cale grew up in the semi-truck where he was home schooled (or truck schooled).

His Dad gave him a love for country music and taught him how to harmonize as father and son traveled down the road in their semi.

His Dad led him to faith in the Lord Jesus when he was 8 years old.  This event changed Cale’s life.

When Cale was 10 years old, the family moved to Benton City, Washington, where he found his love for songwriting, and when he was 12, he finished his first song.

Cale also spent a lot of time on his grandparents’ cattle ranch in Enterprise, Oregon.  He credits his Granddad with teaching him about cattle, crops, and tractors (John Deere of course).  His experiences on his grandparents’ ranch gave him the inspiration he needed to write his songs.

“I used to sit in an old, half ton pickup out behind Grandpa’s shop, with just my notebook and pen.  I stayed in there for a couple of hours one time just trying to find the right word to complete a verse.”  Cale loves  “old, rusty pickup-trucks”  and they often find their way into his songs.

When Cale was 12 years old, he bought his first guitar.  When he turned 15, he got the push he needed to learn to play the guitar.  He was selected to be on Team USA for the World Championships of Performing Arts, where over 30 countries competed.

Cale competed in the categories of Acting, Singing and Modeling.  Cale decided to sing one of his original songs, but there was a problem, he needed a backing track. “Rather than pay someone else”, Cale said,  “I decided, since I already had a guitar, I’d just learn to play the guitar and make the backing track myself.”  “I had no idea what I was getting into.”

Cale only had two and a half months to accomplish this task,  but he practiced 3 to 5 hours a day.  The hard work paid off.  Cale was blessed to received 14 medals (7 gold, 5 silver, 2 bronze), a songwriting commendation plaque, and the glass star for Jr. Grand Champion Actor of the World, 2009.

“God blessed me in so many ways. I never could have expected to do that well. God is good!! That’s all I can say.”

Now, at age 16, Cale has developed a passion for playing the guitar and is rarely seen without it.  Playing the guitar has also helped him in his songwriting. “Ever since I learned the guitar, my songwriting has just taken off.”  Cale had the extreme honor of
co-writing one of his songs with renowned songwriters, Steve Dorff & Bobby Tomberlin.

Cale has now written over 30 songs ( all of them Country).  His writing style is similar to the late 80′s and early 90′s “Back when Country still had steel & fiddle.”  “I like the Down home, wholesome sound”.  “I like my Country to be Country” Cale says.

Cale’s Manager is Patrick Hart with Screen Artists Management and Avenue Actors Agency.  Patrick Hart can be reached at (818) 974-0824.
